I’ve been thinking about where I was 9 years ago and what has changed and what hasn’t. On 9/11/01 I was running a wireless company’s business to business sales office (a far cry from where you find me today in Delaware internet marketing). Most of my team was out on calls and one of the techs came into my office and said that someone had attacked New York. I didn’t believe it and told everyone to calm down. When the second plane hit I sent a voicemail to my team telling them to go home and be with their families and to avoid using their cells as much as possible to keep traffic available for emergencies. I stayed in the office to see what I could do. By this time, my techs had rigged a TV and makeshift antenna and we watched the news on that grainy set. I saw both towers fall. A friend who had recently enlisted in the army called and we met in the parking lot. It was a beautiful fall day and that was such a contrast to what was happening just two hours way in NYC. I told him he had to get ‘them’ and I’m proud to say that in his two tours he did everything he could to show America’s strength and courage, as well as its compassion and hope.
A lot has changed for me since then. I’ve become an entrepreneur (something I was leaning toward even 9 years ago) and brought my business development experience more to the marketing side of things. There have been challenges and there have been victories. And sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in our day to day living. Always remember that there are men and women in foreign lands that protect us while we sleep and that there are men and women here at home that run into buildings when everyone else is running out. Most of all, always remember that we are defined by our dreams and visions and that we can only lose if we choose to be defeated.
I thank you for visiting and supporting our company. I thank you for being a part of my dream and vision. I thank those among adcirca vs cialis us that keep us safe. Always remember, enjoy life!
Let me know what you think and what you remember about that day 9 years ago.
